Information You Enter
Caliper Cal processes information you enter, including an optional client name, age, weight, physical activity level, skinfold measurements, calculation profile, and measurement method. The app uses this information to organize local client histories and estimate body-fat percentage, fat mass, lean mass, calorie targets, and macronutrient targets.
Saved client profiles and measurement history are stored locally on your device. The free version displays the three most recent measurements for the default personal profile. Caliper Cal Pro displays complete saved history and allows multiple named client profiles. Caliper Cal does not provide client names, skinfold measurements, body-composition estimates, calorie targets, or macronutrient targets to advertising providers or RevenueCat.
Caliper Cal does not require an account for calculations or local history. Optional cloud features are described below. Their availability may vary by app version and platform, and they remain off unless you make the applicable choice.
Optional Usage Analytics
If usage analytics is available in your version of Caliper Cal, it is off by default. If you choose to enable it, Google Analytics for Firebase may receive limited app and device information and feature-use events, such as saving a measurement, completing a calculation, opening history or measurement guidance, or opening a The Lift League link.
Usage analytics does not include client names, skinfold measurements, weight, body-fat estimates, calorie or macronutrient targets, or the pseudonymous identifier used for optional research. Advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising personalization are denied for this analytics collection. Turning analytics off stops future collection from the app and resets locally associated analytics data where supported. Previously generated aggregated reports may remain.
Optional Personal Research Contribution
If personal research contribution is available in your version of Caliper Cal, it is separate from usage analytics and is off by default. If you expressly choose to participate, only new measurements saved to the default personal profile after consent are eligible to be sent to Caliper Cal's Firebase project. Existing history, client names, named client profiles, trainer records, exact measurement timestamps, locally calculated results, and payment information are excluded.
A contribution may include a pseudonymous research identifier, a pseudonymous measurement identifier, age, weight, the male or female calculation profile selected, the three-site or seven-site protocol, skinfold readings, the manually selected physical activity level, measurement day, and calculation and schema versions. Firebase Authentication creates a pseudonymous identifier so contributions and deletion requests can be associated with the correct participant. Firebase App Check and Google Play Integrity may process app and device integrity information to protect the service from abuse.
The purpose of this optional contribution is to study and improve Caliper Cal's activity and nutrition estimates. Participation is not required to calculate results, save local history, view advertising, or use Pro features. Research contributions are not a cloud backup and cannot be restored to the app.
Purchases and RevenueCat
Caliper Cal uses RevenueCat to provide and restore in-app purchases. RevenueCat and the applicable app store may process an anonymous app user identifier, product identifiers, purchase history, transaction or receipt information, and limited app or device information needed to verify and manage purchases.
The Lift League does not receive your full payment-card number. Payments are processed by the app store.
Advertising
On supported platforms, the free version of Caliper Cal may display advertising, including promotions for The Lift League and ads delivered by Google AdMob. Before requesting ads, Caliper Cal uses Google's consent tools where required. Depending on your consent, region, and device settings, Google may process device or advertising identifiers, advertising interactions, approximate location derived from an IP address, consent status, and diagnostic information under Google's policies. You can revisit available advertising privacy choices from Settings.
Caliper Cal does not use or provide your skinfold measurements, body-fat estimates, weight, calorie targets, or macronutrient targets for personalized advertising.
How We Use Information
Information is used to:
- perform calculations and show measurement history;
- provide, verify, and restore purchases;
- respond to feedback and support requests;
- maintain security, reliability, and legal compliance;
- display advertising in the free version on supported platforms;
- understand limited feature usage when you enable optional analytics;
- conduct the optional personal research you choose to join.
Feedback and External Links
If you submit feedback through GitHub or contact us by email, the service you choose will process the information you provide. GitHub issues may be public. Do not include body measurements, payment details, or other sensitive information in a public issue.
Sharing and Sale of Information
The Lift League does not sell your personal information. Depending on the features you use and the choices you make, information may be processed by service providers that support purchases, app distribution, advertising and consent, analytics, Firebase hosting and security, and support. These providers include the applicable app store, RevenueCat, Google AdMob, Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Authentication, Firebase App Check, Cloud Functions for Firebase, and Cloud Firestore.
We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect users, The Lift League, or others. We do not share optional research contributions with advertising providers for advertising or personalization.
Retention and Your Choices
Saved client profiles, measurement history, consent choices, and pending research changes remain on your device until you delete the applicable information in the app, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. On supported Apple devices, Caliper Cal excludes its measurement database from device and cloud backup. On Android, app backup and device transfer are disabled for Caliper Cal data.
Settings > Manage stored data allows you to delete an individual measurement, all measurements for a client or the personal profile, or all stored data, regardless of your plan. Deleting a named client removes that client's name and measurements from the device. Deleting all stored data also stops optional research participation and queues deletion of contributed research information, if applicable.
If you contributed personal measurements, deleting a contributed personal measurement also queues deletion of its corresponding research copy. Stopping research sharing queues deletion of all of your contributions. Keep the app installed and connected until it confirms that pending research changes are complete. Minimal consent-revocation information may be retained to prevent delayed or replayed requests from restoring deleted data. If the app was uninstalled before deletion completed, contact us and provide the pseudonymous research identifier you saved from the app so we can attempt to locate the correct records.
App-store and purchase records may be retained by RevenueCat and the applicable app store as needed to provide purchases, restore access, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. To request deletion of information associated with RevenueCat or a support request, contact us. We may ask for the anonymous RevenueCat customer identifier shown in the app's Billing screen so we can locate the correct record.

Caliper Cal provides estimates for general fitness and informational purposes. Caliper Cal is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional. Consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice and before making decisions that could affect your health.
Children's Privacy
Caliper Cal is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information handled by the app. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as Caliper Cal changes. We will update the effective date on this page when material changes are made.
